LOS ANIMISTAS is a theatrical company led by Javier Gámez and Katerinn Acevedo. They inquire about the theater of animation with puppets and objects and its relation with the theater of actors. His staging includes texts such as FINDING ELDORADO, THE BOTTOM OF THE RIVER and THE SECRET OF THE STAR, as well as adaptations: FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON by Jules Verne and THE GOLDEN COCKEREL by Juan Rulfo.

They have been winners of the Creation Fellowship for Puppet Theater awarded by the Institute of the Arts of Bogotá (2011), the 'Rayuela' Creation Fellowship granted by the Ministry of Culture (2015), the Creation Fellowship in the Teatro Estudio Julio Mario Santo Domingo awarded by IDARTES (2016), in 2017 of the Colombian Dramaturgies Mise-en-scène and Premiere Fellowship awarded by the Ministry of Culture for its work ASIAN SOUVENIR, and in 2019 of the Multidisciplinar Fellowship 2019-2020 awarded by IDARTES for its work HEART OF STONE.
